Increasing power of American Indians

If you want to understand the power of American Indians in America, then watch Hollywood movies. In the films till the sixties and seventies, India was shown as the country of the hungry naked 'City of joy', starring Puri or the octopus of the James Bond series. Indians were either beggars or personal servants of Gore Sahib. Even in America, mothers used to scold children for saving food in the plate that do not waste food, people do not get food in India. This was the time in the history of India when India was really directionless. Most of the Indians in America were the same Indians whose ancestors had been made slaves by the British in some country and then they reached America empty handed land of opportunity.

Then by the eighties nineties the situation got a little better. Now in films, Indians started appearing in roles like taxi driver, sweeper, clerk in grocery store. There was a reason too. This was the time when America gave refuge to Indians who had been driven from African countries. Simultaneously illegal infiltrators from India, especially Punjab, were reaching America. Apart from this, relatives of settled Indians were reaching America, who often used to do similar odd jobs.

Around the year 2000, a sudden change began in the image of American Indians. The reason was that the refugee Gujaratis who had reached America in the seventies and eighties, who worked in petrol pumps, had become pump owners. The grocery store clerk had become a grocery store owner. The most important small hotel industry, also called motels, was owned by Gujaratis - to such an extent that motels are now jokingly called patel motels. By now the Indian community had come down to the American middle class. So Indians were starting to look a little respectable in the films of this era. Now sometimes even the hackers started looking Indian.

Now watch Halley Wood movies of 2010-20. Indians will be seen in tie suits, managers, engineers, venture capitalists etc. The reason is the present IT era of the decade of 2000. Many professionals from India went to America on H1B work visa. The terms of the H1 work visa are so stringent that even a normal software engineer cannot get that visa. So the majority of Indians who went on this visa already went to high positions and high salaries. At the same time, all of them reached the summit in their respective fields in a short time. From technology start ups to venture capitalists, Indians started appearing. Spouse cannot work in H1 work visa. Often the wives of Indian engineers who went to such high positions were also highly educated and in most of the cases they were also engineers/doctors/MBA. But she could not do the job because she did not have a visa. So he threw all his energy on the children. One, the children's jeans are so brilliant. Above all, domestic work is not special in America. And then what to say if you become such a brilliant madhar full time teacher. In just a decade, Indians became America's richest fraternity. Whatever be the competition of Mathematics / English, ninety percent finalists and hundred percent winners appear to be Indians.

In the coming times, when this new generation of brilliant children will be on their career, then the influence of people of Indian origin in America will increase tremendously.
